From a conceptualized stand point, Joseph Bottari is an American artist who practices color theory in the form of hard-edge and color-field abstraction… often reductive. These works reflect the fine attention to detail, orientation, scale, proportion, balance, and finish. His influence in both color and transparency stem from the pink and black sand to the Architecture growing up on the Eastern shore of Fire Island, NY & Smith Point Long Island to fishing the turquoise waters of Florida Bay. Joseph is a master welder & draftsmen by trade in aeronautics and works from his studio in Eastern, Pa

Joseph ‘JuJu’ Bottari: Conceptualized in 2012 when Colorado was pushing for the legalization of Cannabis. Later that year, The Colorado Amendment 64 was passed by voters on November 6, 2012, which led to it's legalization in January 2014. It mainly serves as a juxtaposition, referencing both positive and negative connotations. It's meaning is often misconstrued by the overlapping of two generations, Baby boomers vs. Gen X due to it's negative stigma.

Jenna Kole and Joseph met in 2014 at an art opening in NYC. Soon after the show, they developed a working friendship and produced screen prints together.
